Bullying
Adolescents face this a lot nowadays - Bullying. Bullying is unwanted aggressive behaviour towards a student or person. There can be multiple bullies against one poor student. There can be an audience that encourages the bully to keep going. There could be a person that stands up for the victim and finally there could be an outsider who has got nothing to do with the situation and does not take any sides. Bullying can include verbally abusing the person or physically abusing a person. They can verbally swear, use put downs, and make a joke of them. They can also physically push, punch, kick or shove a person around. Bullying can cause social and emotional problems for a victim, physical injuries, anxiety depression and even death.
To stop bullying one can:
- Learn how to physically or mentally protect themselves - learning self defence is a could way, or walking a way from a tense situation.
- Tell a parent or teacher about the situation - The problem mostly is that the victim getting bullied keeps their mouth shut! Speak out so people know what is happening.
- Engage in physical activity - This ill keep your mind off what is happening at, you can also meet new people and make new friends!
These tips should help you greatly to cope with bullying!
